Holiday Update

Thought I would update the blog right quick with some pictures of our homeschooling through the holidays.  It is harder than I thought it would be to do this through the holidays.  I am seriously considering homeschooling year round so we can just take off when we need to throughout the year.  I am definitely going to look into it. Is there anyone else who has homeschooled year round or is homeschooling year round?  Do you prefer it?

Here is our homeschooling holiday update...in pictures.  Hope you all have a Happy Holiday season!!

Going on a leaf hunt......

My little school girl actually took this picture.
She found one bigger than her head!!
She said this was the most beautiful one because of all the colors.

Recording and discussing our leaf hunt in her science journal.

Still in Asia, we studied South Korea.  This is a fan we made after reading a story about the Korean Cinderella.
December 1st and we had a picnic outside....only in the South.
We have also been talking about water and doing a lot of neat discovery activities.
How many drops of water will different types of money hold?  Great for fine motor skills too!!
Of course little sister had to do it....what a mess!!!
We took our annual trip to the Christmas tree farm.  We always have so much fun looking at all the different types of trees.
Found the perfect one!
And of course lots and lots of Christmas decorating.  Our little school girls LOVES these bubble lights.  I think the bubbles have her a little hypnotized here...ha!
