First Day of Kindergarten and September 2013 update

Hey friends!  I am a little behind in updating the blog.  I have a plan this year to try and update at least once a month.  Emphasis on "try."  The truth is, I wear many hats these days and "career blogger" is just not one.  Again, the purpose of this blog is to keep a journal for our family and friends.  We are first generation homeschoolers on both sides of our family so this is new for everyone.  I want our friends and family to be able to share in our journey.  And I also want our girls to be able to have something to look back on when they are all grown to remember the fun times we had together.  So, with that being said, here are some pictures from our first day of Kindergarten along with some September fun!

First day of Kindergarten!

I can not believe how big she is!                                  Little sis wanted to wear the same thing.  :)

All ready for our first day in our new and improved classroom.

I mentioned in our last post that we joined the local homeschool co-op this year.  The girls attend fun classes all day (once a week) and I teach physical science and chemistry to the older kids.  These are pictures from our first day.  :)

I also mentioned in our last post about starting a Little Keeper's Club.  This is a picture from our first meeting.  SO cute!!

Of course ballet has started back up.  Are these not some of the cutest ballerinas you have ever seen?

A fun weaving activity we did during one of our Sentence School lessons.  We actually laminated them and turned them into placemats!

We attended a yoga festival in September.  The very first one in our area. We had a wonderful time!  Our little school girl ran around turning cartwheels (as seen above...lol), we tried out various forms of yoga (including paddle board yoga!), pet some animals and just had a great time with other yogis!

                          Crazy feet day at co-op!

Our little school girl attended her very first field trip!   We wrote a letter to a Disney Princess, mailed it at the post office, then went on a tour.  It was really neat!

And of course, a month can not go by in our ginormous family without someone having a birthday.  Birthday fun with some of our cousins....and me.  Btw....I am getting too old for bounce houses!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Hope you all are enjoying this perfect fall weather as much as we are.

Katie
